Our Imported Dog From Finland
Over the past two years we have been very fortunate to develop a wonderful friendship with Jaana Seppanen from Pulska Finland. Jaana came to Texas in 2002 to purchase some of our breeding stock to take back to Finland to improve the quality of the dogs in that country and to give their gene pool a needed outcross line to add diversity and hybrid vigor to the Finnish Dogs.
As we spent many hours making breeding notes, discussing dogs, and their pedigrees, it became obvious to both of us that we each had something that the other needed.
Our kennel in Texas is a large one, with about 50 Siberians in residence at any one time. Because we are now to our knowledge,....... the only pure source for the Old Foundation Lines of Baltic, Monadnock, and Koryak in the U.S., we need to maintain a large enough breeding base to keep the lines genetically healthy. We have also helped to establish other kennels here in the U.S. and Canada with dogs in co-ownership that we can call upon when needed, there by extending the kennel even further.
In looking at Jaana's pedigrees I found a wonderful older dog, Kuuhaukun Ikuinen Rakkaus. In English "Rascal's" name means "Forever Love". His pedigree reads like a Who's Who of all the very finest Old Foundation Lines in Finland with both his mother and father being Nordic, Swedish, and European Champions. All these dogs go back about a total of 40 years to some of the original US imports from Norrstarr and Koryak.

"RASCAL"
After some wheeling and dealing we were fortunate enough to have "Rascal" imported here to TROIKA for the winter breedings in 2004.
We are now raising his offspring and will incorporate them into our breeding program. Due to the age of their sire and the difficulty of getting "Rascal" here none of these beautiful puppies will be for sale. Their offspring bred to our dogs will be available in about 2 years after showing and eye and hip certifications.
